The Japanese Press urges the Japanese Government to pursue a watchful, waiting attitude to the European situation following Russia’s engagement, which it is believed will mark the turning point in the European war. Any further Soviet proposals for an agreement on differences with Japan will he' welcome. Japanese troops have started'successful military operations in some of the provinces.
