OBITUARY
ETHEL M. DELL LONDON, September 18. The death has occurred of Ethel M. Dell, novelist. She was married in 1922 to Lieutenant-colonel G. T, Savage. lady ellermah LONDON, September 18. Ladv Hannah Ellerraan, widow of Sir John Ellerman, who left £40,000,000, died on September 16. MISS M. D. SUTTOH Miss Maggie Douglas Sutton, who died recently in her eighty-fifth year, was born in Edinburgh, and, along with her mother, came to Otago in the ship Geelong in 1862 She lived all her busy life in Dunedin, and was well known and highly respected by a large number of friends. She was also well known as a social worker, and was an old and valued member of the Otago Early Settlers’ Association, in which she took a warm personal interest. At the time of her death Miss Sutton was the oldest living pupil of the Caversham School, having attended in 1862.
