Port Whangarei is duo from Wellington to-morrow to load and sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, New Plymouth, and Wanganui. Waiana left Auckland on Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff, and is due here to-morrow. She will sail the same day for Bluff, and will return on Saturday to load for Auckland via ports. Karu is due from Wellington on Thursday to load and sail the same day for Oamarn, Timaru, Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. Port Waikato is due on Thursday from Wellington to load and sail the same day for Tauranga, Auckland, and Whangarei via Timaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington. Holmdale is due from Wellington on Saturday to load and sail the same day for Oamaru, Timaru. Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. Auckland Airport (latitude 36deg 50.5 min S., longitude 174 deg 47.2 min E.). —On and after September 16 when aircraft are navigating or about to navigate in the vicinity of the airport, the following signals will be displayed at Mount Victoria Signal Station for one hour before arrival or departure until the aircraft has berthed or departed: By Day.'—A large mauve flag with white diagonal stripe from hoist to lower fly from the southern yard arm. By Night.—A fixed red light from the masthead. A sharp lookout should be kept for control and auxiliary launches when the weather is such that Mount Victoria flagstaff may be obscured. The upper surfaces and superstructures of these launches are painted yellow or amber to facilitate recognition. _ The control launch will fly the Civil Air Ensign by day and exhibit a mauve masthead light by night; and may use a searchlight to assist aircraft alighting or departing.
