[From Odb Oauabo Correspoxdent.] AWAMOA TENNIS CLUB. Fourteen new members were admitted at the annual meeting of the Awamoa Tennis Club last night. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr 31. S. Holmes; president, Mr J. H. Main; vice-presidents—Messrs K. Familton, H. P. B. Familton, 11. B. Nichols, O. J. L. Mollison; secretary, Mr L. Henry; assistant secretary, Miss 11. Ireland; ladder secretary, Mr L, S. Green; committee—Mesdnmes C. J. L. Mollison and C. Stevens, Misses Melville and 11. Donaldson, and Messrs J. Familton, N. Glass, K. Bryan, Green, L. Walton, E. Stringer; club captain, Mr C. Mollison ; deputy-captain, Mr N. Glass; delegates—Messrs Green, J. Familton, and Glass. EMERGENCY COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Oamaru Emergency Committee was held yesterday. Arrangements were made for ambulance stations at the St. John Ambulance Hall, Columba Hall, and the Casanova School. It was reported that in the event of emergency all motor vehicles in town and country would be placed voluntarily at the disposal of the committee. RUGBY FOOTBALL. The Management Committee of the North Otago llughy Union met last evening. W. Perry was regraded from Old Boys seniors to juniors. Athletic were declared winners of the fifth grade competition. SAVAGE CLUB. A raid by 43 members of the Waimate Savage Club was made on the Oamaru Savage Club on Saturday night, led by Great Chief D. Webster. A bright programme was presented, the following giving items:—Waimate Club Choir, under ex-Great Chief Algie; exGreat Chiefs Newall and E. Travers, Savages Baker, Fox, Smith, J. Borthwick. Ball, Jones, Boulton, Chapman, Collett, and Lane. ENLISTMENTS. Enlistment's at Oamaru for the special military force now total 61. Of 51 volunteers medically examined, 25 were passed as fit, 14 temporarily unfit, 11 permanently unfit, and 1 doubtful. ROTARY CLUB. At the weekly luncheon of the Oamaru Rotary Club yesterday Mr J. P. Crozier, a missionary on furlough from India, interestingly conditions in atypical Indian village. xrOtarian H. A. Fox presided. S PERSONAL. Mr Colin Nicholson, who is leaving for Otautau, was presented last night with a smoker’s outfit by the committee of the North Otago Rugby Union, of which he has been a valued member. Mr M. F. Woodward made the presentation, and expressed appreciation of Mr Nicboison’s excellent services. MINIATURE RIFLES.
