LIFE-SAVING SOCIETY

MEETING OF COMMITTEE A meeting of the committee of th* Otago branch of the Royal Life Saving Society of New Zealand was held last night, Mr H. H. Henderson occupying the chair. Also present were Messrs .1. Pereira, C. Durand. B. W. Naglo, H. M'Millan. D. C. Bannatyne, K. Evans, and Miss P. M. Mathieson (secretary) . The Tomahawk Club applied for a woman instructor to take u class of 12 women members.-—Miss Mathieson volulteered for the position and was appointed. The Town Clerk advised that tl < --ociety’s hours at the Municipal I' 'is during the 1939-40 season would bo from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays.'
