TAIERI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY

Mr D. Wallace presided at a meeting of the Committee of Management of the Taieri Agricultural Society. The President referred to the death of Mr David Murray, Of Ranfurly, and Mr John MTherson, of Mosgiel, who were both supporters of the society. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect. Letters were received from the Peninsula and Southland A. and P. Associations advising their respective show dates. Various letters in coimec--tion with demonstrations and space at the annual show were dealt with. It was decided that the hands be approached in regard to submitting a price for music at the annual show. Fourteen judges intimated their willingness to act at the annual show on November 18. Two separate committees were formed to attend to the renewal, repair, and removal of stalls and pens.
