SEA MYSTERY

BODY OF TATTOOED MAN Tattooed on the chest of an unknown middle-aged man whose body was cast up by the sea at herring, Sussex,_ the other day, was a full-rigged sailing vessel, and there were a number of other tattoo marks on both hands and forearms. At the inquest at Ferring it was stated that, apart • from the tattoo marks, and the fact that a toe was missing from the loft foot, apparently having been amputated by a surgeon, there were no clues to the man's identity. There were no marks of external injury caused before death.
