DRUNKEN DRIVERS
TWO SENT TO GAOL [Pbb United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, September 19. Two motorists charged with intoxication while in charge of motor cars were sent to gaol by Mr Levieu, S.M., today. Selwyn Wilson Notion (32), a yulcaniser, was sentenced to TO days’ imprisonment, with hard labour, and disqualified from having a license for two years. The police said his car collided with a safety zone in Wellesley street last night. Joseph Roy Anderson (42), a motor driver, was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment, with hard labour, and was disqualified for 18 months. The police said he was travelling at 40 miles an hour on the new North road at 5 p.m. Stopped in response to a traffic officer’s signal, he was found to be drunk.
