ORGANISING PUBLIC MOTOR TRANSPORT
MEETINGS IN ALL DENTRES (Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 16. Following the recent statement by the Minister of Transport (Mr Semple) regarding the organisation and coordination of all forms of public motor transport, arrangements have been made for meetings to be held at each of the 21 centres in tho districts in which district co-ordination committees are to be set up. These meetings have been arranged by the combined national transport organisations. Tho first meetings will be held at Hastings. Wellington, Nelson, and Dunedin on 'Thursday next, and will be followed on succeeding evenings by meetings at all the other centres nominated in the four transport licensing districts.
All members of the organisation have been invited direct, and the meetings will all be advertised locally. They will be open to all commercial motor transport operators, to whom the subject of the Government's requirements is of vital importance. Tho industry appreciates the opportunity to co-oper-ate with the Government in furtherance of its previous offers of assistance.
