Breeze is due on Wednesdy from Wellington to load and sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The interisland express steamer AA r ahine arrived at Lyttelton from Wellington at 6.50 yesterday morning. TANKER NEW ZEALAND. * The Norwegian tanker New Zealand broke down on her last voyage from Dunedin to Los Angeles, according to advice received from Sydney, and drifted for three days off the Californian coast. A tug was. despatched to lier assistance and towed her into Los Angeles, where, she was placed in dock. A faulty valve caused the vessel to lose her fuel supply. NEW JAPANESE SHIPS. Advice lias been received from Japan that the keel of one of the_ projected 27,000-ton Nippon Yusen Kaisha liners has been laid at the Nagasaki yard of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. The other is scheduled for construction at the Kawasaki yard at Kobe, but the keel will not be laid before next month. Both vessels arc scheduled to he in commission eai’ly in 1942. AT OTHER PORTS.
