CARLIN.—On September 15, 1939, at Dunedin, Catherine Brown, dearly beloved wife of William,L. Carlin, of 55 Ross street, Eavensbourne; aged 39 years. Deeply mourned. Private interment.—K. M’Lean and Son, funeral directors. HERBERT.—On September 16th, 1939 (suddenly), at 36 Union street, Sidney David Herbert, eldest son of Mrs Agnes Herbert; aged 59 years. “At rest.” No flowers by request. Private interment.— Hope and Kinaston, funeral directors. SPRAGGON.—On September 11,-1939, at his residence, 35 Dahlia street, Palmerston North, Ralph Dew, beloved husband of Maud Spraggon.
