MACANDREW BAY ORPHANS CLUB

On. Wednesday evening an enjoyable time was spent by a large number of Orphans and their friends at Macaudrew Bay. The president (Bro. R. Stuart Glendining) was responsible for the programme. During the evening the M'Gavin’s-Strachan’s cricket team was presented with the shield which it had wrested from the Onphans’ Club during the last season. The toasts honoured were; “ M'Gavin’s-Strachan’a Cricket Team ” (Bro. J. Vivian, responded to by Bro. H. Davis, captain); “ Performers and Visitors,” (‘Bro. A, Hartley, Mr Grigg). Items were provided bv Roslyn Glee Singers (chorus) ; Messrs J. Haig, H. Davis (songs), Mr P. Rodgerson (piano solo), Mr D. S. Ross (bagpipe solo), Mr H. Martin (recitation). Mr W. Tait (trumpet), Mr A. Grigg (accordion solo). Mr J, Robb (saxaphone solo), Mr C. Denholm (mandolin solo), and Messrs Robb and Grigg (vocal duet). The accompaniments were played by Bro. L« Tyrie.
