DRUIDISM
Lily of the Valley Lodge held a “ Scottish night ” on Wednesday. The entertainment was varied, items being given by the following:—Chieftain A. Leisliman and his concert party. Miss Miss Jessie Leisliman, Miss C. Thorn, a quartet of youthful exponents of Highland dances, Bro. D. L. Fowler (violin solos), Mr J. Laing, Bro. H. E. Madigan, Miss Reid, Miss N. Holdaway, and Miss Marjorie Holdaway. Air J. M‘Vean piped in the haggis, after which an address was given by Bro. Leisliman. Among the correspondence was a letter from Grand Lodge with reference to the publication of the annual booklet, consideration of which was deferred until next meeting. The grand secretary also wrote in connection with a suggestion which had been received for the formation of 'a hospital fund whereby comforts could be distributed to sick brethren. It was decided to support the scheme and contribute such monetary assistance as outlined by the proposer. The attention of the officers and brethren was directed to the need for their attendance next meeting, when the judges of the general efficiency competition would be present.
