ROYAL EXHIBITS
THE CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION CONTRIBUTIONS FROM QUEEN AND QUEEN-MOTHER [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 15. “ The undoubted interest being displayed by members of the Royal Family in the New Zealand Centennial Exhibition has been shown in tangible form,” said the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, honorary president of the Exhibition Company, commenting on the advice from Mr Jordan that Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary, and other. Royalties have graciously consented to provide exhibits. The articles would bo of great interest both historically and artistically. They included a crayon sketch of Queen Elizabeth, a plaque of Queen Victoria, a gold-mounted greenstone casket presented to Queen Mary b ( y the citizens of Auckland when she visited New Zealand as Duchess of York.
Queen Mary was also sending 10 fans and 15 specimens of needlework, embroidery, including handkerchiefs that belonged to Queen Victoria and Queen Alexandra. The Duchess of Gloucester was sending two paintings.
