ADAM.—On September 7tb, 1939, at Balclutha Hospital, William Challoner, beloved husband of Mary, and elder sou of the late Alexander Adam, Owaka. Interred at Owaka 9th September.

DICKIE.—At 94 Westminster street, St. Albans, Christchurch, George, third son of the late Captain Dickie, and brother of James Dickie, Dunedin; in his seventyeighth year. “At rest.” M’LEOD.—On September 15th, 1939, at Dunedin, Annie, dearly beloved wife of Malcolm M'Leod, of 4 East Avenue, St. 'Kilda; aged 66 years. Deeply mourned.—The Funeral will leave her late residence on Monday, the 18th inst., at 11 a.m., for the Anderson’s Bay Cemetery.—R. M’Lean and Son, funeral directors. PROUDFOOT.—On September 14, 1939, at his residence, 10-Graham street. George Charles Proudfoot, aged 85 years; No flowers. Privately interred this day.—Hugh Gourley Ltd., funeral directors.
