DEATHS.

ADAM.—On September 7tb, 1939, at Balclutha Hospital, William Challoner, beloved husband of Mary, and elder sou of the late Alexander Adam, Owaka. Interred at Owaka 9th September.

DICKIE.—At 94 Westminster street, St. Albans, Christchurch, George, third son of the late Captain Dickie, and brother of James Dickie, Dunedin; in his seventyeighth year. “At rest.” M’LEOD.—On September 15th, 1939, at Dunedin, Annie, dearly beloved wife of Malcolm M'Leod, of 4 East Avenue, St. 'Kilda; aged 66 years. Deeply mourned.—The Funeral will leave her late residence on Monday, the 18th inst., at 11 a.m., for the Anderson’s Bay Cemetery.—R. M’Lean and Son, funeral directors. SANDOM.—On September 14. 1939, at Dunedin, Mabel Ellen (nee Jones), beloved wife of Henry Albert Sandom, and loved mother of Charles Sandom, 614 King street; in her forty-seventh year. SPRINGER.—On September 14, 1939, at Waimate, George Ernest, son of the late George and Elizabeth Springer, of Northeast Valley, Dunedin. WHITE.—On September 15, 1939, at Dunedin, Mary Elleir (Dolly), beloved second daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine White, of 21 Tyne street, Roslyn, R.I.P.— Requiem Mass at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, on Monday, the 18th inst., at 9 a.m. Private interment.—Hugh Gourley Ltd., funeral directors.
