RAVENSBOURNE PRESBYTERIANS

ANNUAL CHURCH MEETING The annual meeting of the Ravensbourne and St. Leonards Presbyterian Church was held at Ravensbourne on Tuesday evening, when the Rev. J. J. Cairney presided. Reports from the Sunday schools, Bible classes, Busy Bees, the P.W.M.U., and the Ladies’ Guild were received. The session reported that the church services had been fully maintained, and that the minister’s weekly visits to the primary schools were much appreciated. Excellent work bad been done by the Ladies’ Guild and the P.W.M.U., and the congregation was indebted to all who took part in the work of the church. The financial report showed that receipts amounted to £505 18s sd, and expenditure to £5lO 19s Bd, and, in addition to these, a sum of £lsl had been contributed in cash to the centenary fund, while a further £4O had been promised. During the year the balance of the church mortgage, amounting to £IOO, had been discharged. A heating system had been installed at Ravensbourne, and some necessary repairs effected. The .ordinary church collections and mission funds both showed a decrease as compared with the previous year, but it was anticipated that now the centenary fund had been met ordinary collections will again increase.
