BOISTEROUS WESTERLY
SHIPPING DISLOCATED BARS UNWORKABLE [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND. September 14. The severe westerly weather of the past two days has dislocated all shipping movements on the West Coast. Heavy seas arc being experienced, and practically all bars have been unworkable cither for inward or outward shipping. The Anchor Line motor vessel Alexander, which left Greymouth. for Dargavillo on Tuesday, advised that she was hove-to at sea olf Kaipara Heads. The conditions had made the crossing of the Kaipara bar impossible at Hokianga. The bar is also unworkable. The Northern Company’s motor vessel Ronaki, after loading at Onehunga for New Plymouth and Wanganui, went to Manukau Heads this morning, and after waiting all day for an improvement in the conditions on the Manukau bar, returned to Onehunga in the late afternoon. Boisterous weather has also been ruling in the Hauraki Gulf.
