The hungry customer breezed into the restaurant and ordered a plate of chicken soup with a wad of cotton on the side. “ Cotton?” echoed the surprised waiter. “ Cotton with chicken soup!” The customer smiled agreeably. “To stuff in my ears,” he explained. “ I make a terrible noise when I eat soup.”
