DEATH OF NEW ZEALAND JOURNALIST AN AGENT ARRESTED |t»h Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, September 12. A New Zealand journalist, Gervaine G. M'Donald, employed by Associated Newspapers Ltd., Sydney, died to-day from injuries received on Saturday during an altercation at Bondi. M’Donald, who was a court reporter qn the ‘ Sun,’ was allegedly involved in an argument in which blows were struck, and ho fell, striking his head heavily on the footpath. His skull was fractured, and he did not regain consciousness. M'Donald’s father is a Barrister in Wellington. John Kirkwood, aged 30, an agent, was arrested and charged with - having feloniously slain M‘Donald. He was remanded at Paddington Court till jiext Monday, bail being refused.
