“ Curious.”—The area of the city of London is 675 acres, and of the administrative county of London 74,816 acres. The greater London consists of the metropolitan police area of 443,424 acres, comprising the whole of tho county of Middlesex and parts of the counties of Essex, Surrey, and Hertfordshire.
“ Digger.”—(l) The number of New Zealanders°°vho embarked for service during the war of 1914-18 was 100,444. That number included 50 nurses and 2,227 Maoris and Earotongans, but it did not include 2,091 Now Zealanders who joined the Australian Forces and 1,279 who joined the British Forces. (2): The total casualties of the N.Z.'E.F. abroad were 58,014. (3) The nuraher killed or who died of wounds or disease was 16,697, and the number of wounded was 41,317.
