Australian Metal Scrip Easier

■Milburo'.irme and Cement Net Profit Less

Third Quarter Tin Quota Raised

Australian metal stocks eased on the investment market this morning, probably on profit taking. Buying support fell away sharply,-only one purchaser coming forward, while prices lost slight ground. Commonwealth industrials were inactive, while other sections showed little change.

' The international Tin Committee has raised the quota for the third quarter of this year, to 80 per cent., but allowed the fourth quarter figure to remain unchanged at 60 per cent, of standard tonnage. Milburn Lime and. Cement reports a net profit of £19,828, or £3,922 below last year’s figure. Dividend is unchanged. The sum of £2,000 is apportioned in this year’s accounts for new plant.
