DRIED FRUITS AND SUGAR FROM AUSTRALIA
NEGOTIATIONS FOR SURPLUS WHEAT CANBERRA, September 12. (Received. September 13, at 8 a.m.) The Federal Minister of Commerce announces that Britain has bought tho whole of the Australian surplus of Australian dried fruits at a price approximating those recently ruling in the open market. It is probable also that Britain will take the whole of the surplus sugar crop of 450,000 long tons. Negotiations are now proceeding for the sale of the surplus wheat crop to Britain*
