FRIDAY'S COMMUNITY SING

The weekly community sing will be held in the Strand Theatre (by the courtesy of the Fuller Theatre Corporation Ltd.) on Friday, at 12.15. Mr J. F. Himburg will be the leader. Mr A. Pettitt will play the piano accompaniments. “ Cheerios ” and gifts may ho sent to the secretary at Begg’s. A “ rocking dog,” made by a Boy Scout, will be offered, for sale, also a Pomeranian pup sent from Lawrence. Flowers and goods will be accepted for the stall. These “ sings ” were started in 1914 and proved a success in brightening the public during the Great War. They are still very popular. Further particulars are advertised.
