DUNEDIN GUN CLUB

Four matches were held on the Dunedin Gun Club’s grounds at Green Island on Saturday afternoon under good conditions. In the “ eye-opener ” match of six birds the following competitors broke all their birds: —G. E. Turner, E. P. Gtaham, S. F. Ahum, J. K. Begg, W. Morland, R. Bruce, J. Patterson, T. B. M'Kinlay, J. B. Qraigie, and M. R. Greenslade. IR. M'Donald, W. J. Templeton, and D. Davy missed one. Five possibles were registered in the next match, a 15-lnrd handicap, the scores being as follows: J .B. Craigie (14yds) 15 (all first barrels), T. B. M'Kinlay (15yds), 15 (14 first barrels), G. E. Turner (17yds) 15 (13 first barrels), R. M'Donald (17yds) 15 (12 first barrels), S. F. Aburn (loyds) 15 (12 first barrels), E. P. Graham (20yds) 14, J. K. Begg (12yds) 14, R. Bruce (14yds) 13, W. J. Templeton (11yds) 13, J. Patterson (11yds) 13, R. Maxwell (11yds) 10, D. Davy (11yds) 10. The third match (of 15 birds) was shot off the 16yds mark on the fivetrack system. No possibles were registered, but G. E. Turner, S. F. Aburn, nnd J. B. Craigie all broke 14. R. M'Donald, J. K. Begg, and R. Bruce broke 13, T. B. M'Kinlay 11, and M. (E. Greenslade 10. The last match was a “double rise” handicap (5 pairs), G. E. Turner (16yds) and R. M'Donald (16vds) tied with 9 breaks each, T. B. M'Kinlay broke 7, R. Bruce 6, S. F. Aburn, J. K. Begg, and D. Davey 5 Mr R. Graham was the referee.
