GETS JOB UNOER ANOTHER NAME “ CAN’T LEAVE HORSES ALONE '? [Pee United Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, September 11. Admitting a list of previous convictions for offences including theft, forgery, and receiving stolen property, Cecil Allan Crosby pleaded gdilty before Mr Woodward, S.M., to-day to being unlawfully on tho New Plymouth racecourse at the Hunt Club’s meeting on September 2. He also admitted that he had been training horses under a license obtained in another name. He was convicted and fined £2. The police said Crosby, under tho name of MTntyre, had been disqualified for life by the Racing Conference, and had since obtained another license under the name of M'Cormac.
“ How did you manage to have this license? ” asked the Magistrate. “ I can’t leave horsqs alone,” replied defendant. “ I was born and brought up among them, and I’ll die among them.”
