SENIOR CRICKET.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Now that the Otago Cricket Association has decided to eliminate the Colts, and as it is necessary to px-omote a junior team to first. grade,« I feel that 1 due consideration should be given to a club which, in ray opinion, and I feel also in the opinion of many others, has been fully deserving of a place in this grade for some considerable time. This club—namely, tho North-east Valley—has a record which fully justifies this promotion, and,, being situated in such a widely growing district as Dalmore, North-east Valley, and Opoho, it would be in tho best interests of cricket in general to give it the benefit of the position offering. This would also be .an inducement for the North-east Valley Club to take oyer tho Opoho ground, which, in my opinion, would •make, a first-class wicket. Hoping that the executive of the O.C.A. will give this matter usOarnest consideration. —I' am,-etc., ■ ■■■'■■■■ > ■■ ' • Intf.rf.sted. • October 8. • i
