LOYAL ORANGE LODGE

Members of the above lodge (No. 12) held their usual monthly meeting in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Kensington, on Tuesday. W. M. Bro. j. W. Wootton presided over a good muster of members. The secretary (Bro. John Robb) reported on visiting a sick brother of the lodge in the Dunedin Hospital, and, was instructed to send a letter convey-, ing the sympathy of the member. Bro. Wallas reported on the arrangements made for the celebration of November 5 this year by a Concert on October 22, a ball on November 6, and a church parade on November 12. The executive reported that No. 12 would hold a church parade at Green Island on the first Sunday in December The sister lodge and members of the Protestant Alliance Lodge were invited to attend. W.M. Bro. S. Little, of Past Masters’ Lodge, and W.M. Bro. Moir, of No 34, Roslyn, were welcomed by the W.M. to No. 12. Bros. Little and Moir responded on behalf of their respective lodges. Invitations were received to attend the installation and investiture of the W.M. and officers of lodges No.s 19 and 23 at Oamaru on October 10, No. 5 on October 17, No. 39 on October 28 in the Orange Hall, and also to the church parade from No. 28, L.L.0.L., at Caversbam Methodist Church on October 11. The annual balance sheet and report of Orange Hall Committee were received, which showed the hall to be meeting the requirements of the order,
