It expressed full confidence in the impartiality of the inquiry which the mandatory' power has instituted. ARAB DELIBERATIONS DISTRICT COMMITTEES’ OPINIONS TO BE SOUGHT. JERUSALEM, October 8. (Received October 9, at 1.30 p.m.) The Arab High Committee, after receiving the final text of the proposed appeal of four Arab rulers to end! the strike and campaign of violence, decided to seek the district committees’ opinions before publishing an appeal. The British forces, after spectacular operations at Mount. Carmel, failed to locate the rebels. It is not known if there are any casualties. SENTIMENT IN IRAQ BAGDAD, October 8. (Recevied October 9, at 2 p.m.) The Chief Rabbi has made a statement repudiating in the name of 100,000 Jews in Iraq any connection with Zionism. “ Either inside or outside Palestine we Iraqis heart and soul are sharing national sentiments with our Iraqi brothers,” he said.
