TO BE WOUND UP TO AROHA TROTTING CLUB [Per United Press Association.] TE AEOHA, October 9. At a special meeting of members of the Te Aroha Trotting Club last evening a notice of motion that the club be wound up was carried with only two dissentient votes. The club was formed in 1919, and had a number of successful meetings, with liberal prize money. No meeting was held in 1935. The club has a satisfactory credit balance, N.Z. GOLF TOURNEY A RECORD ENTRY [Per United Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, October 9. One hundred and thirty-six entries have been received for the New Zealand gold championships, which commence at New Plymouth on October 22. The list includes 108 amateurs and 28 professionals. Practically every player of note in New Zealand has entered, including the present open champion, A. Murray, and ex-open champions in A. J. Shaw, E. J. Moss, E. S. Douglas, J. A. Clements, and A. D. S. Duncan. Last year’s amateur champion, J. P. Hornabrook, has entered, while exchampions B. M. Silk, A. D. S. Duncan, L. Quin, R. Wagg, A. G. Sime, H. Ross, and H. A. Black nil figure among the nominations. The draw for the first two rounds of play will be made to-night. The entry is believed to be a record.
