The directors of the Bank of Adelaide have declared an interim dividend of 4 per cent, per annum. SEARCH FOR GOLD. BLACKWATER MINES. Blacikwater Mines Ltd. report that the return for the month of September was as follows: Crushed 3,664 tons yielding 1,308 fine ounces of gold from all sources the value of which, taking gold at 137 s per fine ounce, was £8,962. Working expenses were £6,453, leaving a working profit of £2,509. Development expenditure was £992 and capital expenditure was £252. Development work carried out during the month: — No. 13 level, north drive, was advanced 71ft on reef averaging 22in in width and 21dwt in value. No. 13 level, south drive, was advanced 75ft in blaqk. Since the end of the month the reef has again been disclosed in the level. GOLDEN DAWN RETURN. The Golden Dawn Company reports that for 12 working days ended October 3, 716 tons of ore were treated for £1,807 at £7 2s per gold ounce.
