DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE There was more activity on the local share market this morning, values generally being maintained. Among banking issues a sale of Bank of New Zealands was reported at £1 18s 3d, but sellers at £1 19s 6d failed to produce a buyer. Buying quotations for Commercials showed an improvement of a penny, sellers- quoting 18s Bd. Insurance stocks were quiet, but in the shipping P. and 0. deferred stocks were inquired for at 3d less than yesterday, there being no sellers. Eefrigeratiugs, both paid and contributing, were firmer, 3d separating buyers and sellers in both cases. Goldsbrough, Morts had a close market, the recent rise being maintained. British Tobaccos were wanted at £2 2s 6d, an improvement of 6d. G. J. Coles were firmer, as also were G. J. Coles rights. New Zealand Paper Mills were inquired for at £1 6s 9d, the sellers’ quote being too wide for business. In the Australian mining shares Electrolytic Zincs, preference and ordinary, were tinner, buyers for the ordinary offering yesterday's sale price. Twopence separated buyers and sellers in Mount Lyclls without a sale being effected. Mount Morgans had business reported after the cal) at 14s 6d, the quotations being close at 14s 6d and 14s 7d. There was little change in the local gold mining stocks, and no business was reported or effected.
