COMMUNITY SINGING
To-morrow’s sing will bo held in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of FullerHayward), and as the season is drawing to a close another large attendance is expected. A hearty invitation is issued to friends who are in town for thoraces, and if they have not attended a community sing they are sure to enjoy it. On October 1C the Irish day will be held, and from all accounts this will bo as big a success as the Scottish day. Dimmy, Himmy, Alfie, and Hurry will appear as Irishmen. This week another good programme has been arranged, and is sure to meet with the ajiproval of listencrs-in and those attending. Miss Dorothy Sligo, soprano, will be the soloist. Air H. P. Desmoulins will bo the leader, with Air A If. Pettitt at the piano. This has been a good season, and it is hoped to hand over the fourth hundred pounds next
week. Donations can be sent to Begg’s or Strand Theatre. Flowers are very acceptable for the stalls. Proceeds arc for the mayor’s relief of distrses fund.
