[Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, October 5. A civil engineer, Octavius Georg# Garlick, aged 49, was sentenced in the Police Court to three months imprisonment for wilful obscene exposure in a Queen street shop on Thursday night. He pleaded guilty The police said that Garlick entered the Queen street shop about 9.30 and ordered sweets from a young woman who was alone on duty. He then committed the offence. An attendant called Oarlick “ a filthy brute.’ Garlick ran away, and a taxidriver who was then entering the sb°P chased him and gave him in charge. “ Mr duty is to protect girls from men of this sort,” safd Mr F. K.Tlunt, 6J.M., in passing sentence.
