ORKNEY SOCIETY SOCIAL
Tlie monthly social of the Orkney and Shetland Society was held on Saturday. There was a large attend* ance of members and their friends. The president (Mr A. B. Fraser) welcomed the members, their friends, and members of kindred societies. The evening was spent in dancing, with items interspersed, the following contributing Miss Joan M‘Gregor (songs), Master Bobby Whale (recitations), Master Gilbert Smith (piano solos). The winners of the Monte Carlo were Mr and Mrs Bissett. ■
