LARGEST GERMAN POST-WAR BATTLESHIP LAUNCHED IN ADVANCE OF SCHEDULE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright WILHELMSHAVEN, October 3. Far in advance of schedule, on account of which the Government congratulated the builders, the largest German post-war battleship, named the Scbarnhorst, was launched in the presence of Herr Hitler. She is a 26-000-ton vessel, and has nine 11m guns, significantly all mounted forward. General Blomberg said the vessel was the first fruit of the Anglo-German naval understanding.
