LOOSE STEERING

Should the steering become loose or wheel wobble set up, see that the wheel nuts are secure and tyre pressure is correct. Examine hub bearings, steering arms, and rod end joints for shake, and have correction made. In most modern cars the handwheel should be exactly halfway between the extremities of its travel when the front wheels are presenting straight ahead. If noticeable deviation exists, consult an expert service man. Adjustment may be called for, or the rule might not apply.
