WRESTLING

KRUSE V. SAVOLDI A match which should add to the popularity of wrestling in this town will bo staged in the Town Hall to-night between “Jumping” Joe Savoldi, former champion of the world, and one of fho two undefeated wrestlers in this country at the present time, and Bob Kruse, the wristlock expert from Portland. Savoldi may be described as the complete wrestler, for there seems to be no phase of the game that he has not mastered. Extremely versatile, he is said to be constantly producing something new, and the amazing speed at which ho works has been equalled by few of the men seen in this country. Kruse, it is said, can be regarded as one man who can compare with him when it comes to the matter of of making what may bo termed _ lightning moves. Savoldi has potential matchwinning manoeuvres in his drop-kicks and flying tackles, but after all he has to connect, and that is not the easiest thing to do when opposed by a man as clever as Kruse, whose ring generalship is of such a quality that it is exceedingly rare to find him placed at a disadvantage. When these two men mot for the first time in Auckland some three weeks ago the crowded house was provided witli a succession of thrills. The local association will bo disappointed if this match does not prove to be one of the most interesting contests over staged under its auspices. For telephone reserves ring 11-842 after 0.30 p.m.
