CALIFORNIA. When a large, new air liner entered the Los AngelesNew York service recently, it was christened Navaja ”by a local Indian tribe, who performed the naming ceremony on “the great bird” in a manner traditional with, their tribe.
LONDON. Girls with “television faces.” Two of the young ladies who have been selected by the 8.8. C. as television announcers. They possess the necessary qualifications of beauty, charm, and personality, plus face suitable for photography, and a voice suitable for the microphone.
LONDON, Paderewski, the 76-year-old, and world-famous pianist, and former President of Poland, is now in London, where he will be starred in a film. On his arrival at Victoria Station, he was met by the well-known producer, Mr Mendes (left). This will be Paderewski’s first film.
