MOTORIST SENT TO GAOL [Per United Press Association.] CARTERTON, October 3. Samuel Sturgess (4G) alias Walter John Best, a chimneysweep, of Masterton, was fined in the Police Court this morning £‘2o, in default one month, for being drunk in charge of a car. His license also was cancelled for two years, and a prohibition order issued. On a further charge of damaging cell utensils he was fined 17s. Being unable to pay, he was sent to Wellington Gaol.
