LOST AIRMEN
SEARCH SO FAR UNAVAILING Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright PERTH, October 3. (Received October 3, at 11 a.m.) The aerial search for the Dutch airmen was continued yesterday without success. The land party found the fire referred to yesterday. It had been apparently lit by natives. No trace was found of wreckage of the plane. [A message received yesterday stated: An extensive aerial search yesterday of the country near Kalgoorlie failed to reveal any sign of W. Rous and H. Van Beckman, _ two Dutch airmen who have been missing since Wednesday morning. A land party loft Kalgoorlio to investigate a theory that the plane crashed where fire was seen 60 miles from Kalgoorlio, and, together with the missing men, had been incinerated. The Dutchmen were making a holiday flight around Australia.]
