TASMAN AIR RACE

ANOTHER CONTEST IN PROSPECT FINISHING POINT AT NAPIER [Per United Press Association.] NAPIER, October 2. A proposal to organise an air race from Sydney to Napier in January has been placed before the Napier Thirty Thousand Club. The prize money will amount to £5,000. An anonymous Napier donor has already offered £s Of), with the stipulation that the finishing point for the race must be Napier. Although the Napier aerodrome is at present in course of reformation the emergency aerodrome at West Shore is stated to provide ample landing space for the largest air liners likely to participate in the race. There will be no restrictions regarding the types of machine to be entered for the race.
