TO ADVANCE DUNEDIN

HUNDRED THOUSAND CLUB IDEAL HOMES EXHIBITION Wide public interest is being shown in the establishment of the Hundred Thousand Club formed to do everything possible for tho advancement of the city of Dunedin, and since the preliminary announcement of its formation the mayor (Rev. E. T. Cox) has received very encouraging offers of assistance. The first effort of the club will be the Ideal Homes Exhibition, which will be opened in Littlebourne House on October 10. Modelled in a smaller scale on the lines of the great show held annually at Olympia, London, the exhibition will be the centre of beautiful designs in bouse furnishings, and the grounds will bo brilliantly lit with coloured electric lights, while games and stalls will provide further interest and amusement. Other attractions will he arranged later to keep the interests of Dunedin constantly before the public. Advice has been received from Sir Benjamin Fuller that the musical comedy, ‘ Billie,’ will be commenced on Boxing Day night for the entertainment of the large holiday crowds which it is hoped to attract to Dunedin. Further musical plays will ho staged during January. The following are the office-bearers of the club:—Patron, Hon. F.
