Holmdalo is duo on Monday to load and sail the same day for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui via Oamaru, Timani, and Lyttelton. Breeze is due here to-morrow morning to load and sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. Gale is duo here on Tuesday from Bluff to load for Wellington and Wanganui via ports. Waimarino arrived yesterday from Auckland via ports. She was expected to sail this afternoon for Bluff. Karu is to load here on Monday and sail the same day for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth via ports. Kaimai is to leave Westport to-mor-row for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru, and Lyttelton. Limerick is expected to sail to-mor-row for Melbourne, Sydney, Fiji, and Vancouver. Hororata is duo at Port Chalmers tomorrow to complete discharge of her New York cargo. She will lie up at Port Chalmers after completion of discharge. Rotorua, from West Coast ports via northern ports, is due here on October 43. South Africa, from Los Angeles, is due here to-morrow. Auck., Jan. 7 Japan Brisbane Maru Auck., Feb. 2 Japan INTERISLAND EXPRESS. The interisland express steamer Maori arrived at Lyttelton from Wellington at 6.40 this morning. Passengers and mail for the south connected with the express. THORHILD LEAVES PALEMBANG. Cabled advice has been received by the Union Company that its chartered motor tanker Thornild left Palembang last Friday with bulk fuel oil for Wellington. She is due there on October 15. KANNA AND LOONGANA. A Japanese crew arrived at Wellington by the Maunganui to take the Kanna to Japan. Sold recently by the Union Company to Japanese shipbreakers, the Kanna has been undergojng overhaul at Auckland prior to making her last voyage. She is to leave Auckland next week for Melbourne, where she will pick up the famous old Bass Strait passenger steamer Loongana, which has also been sold East, and will tow her to Japan. The Loongana was built at Dumbarton in 1904 for the Tasmanian Steamships Proprietary Limited, and is a triple screw vessel of 2,448 gross tons, with a length of 300.3 feet. The Kanna is 1,948 tons gross, and was built in 1911 at Leith by Ramage and Ferguson Limited, and has the following dimensions: —Length, 272 ft lin; breadth, 41ft 2in ; and depth, 17ft 9in. MOTOR VESSEL KAURI, The Union Company’s new cargo ship Kauri, built at Glasgow by Messrs Alexander Stephen and Sons Limited, Linthouse, Govan, left for New Zealand on September 5 via Capetown and South Australian ports. The ship is in command of Captain W. D. Cameron, and with him are associated the following officers:—Chief, Mr S. C. Angus; second, Mr S. H. Crawford; third, Mr H. Williams; chief engineer, Mr R. L. Smith; second engineer, Mr J. Cattanach; third engineer, Mr W. Masked; fourth engineer, Mr W. J. Warren; chief steward, Mr W. H. Searle. The principal dimensions of the Kauri are:—Length 284 ft, breadth 44ft, depth 21ft 6in, gross tonnage 2,360.64, net tonnage 1,301.88, deadweight capacity 5,070 tons on loaded draft of 18ft sJin.
