MOSTLY FINE The following weather forecast issued at noon by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, covering the southern districts—Dunedin, Port Chalmers, Tspanui, Winton, Invercargill. Riverton, Orepuki, Bluff, Halfmoon Bay.— A shallow depression crossed the Dominion last night, and a considerable rise of pressure has followed it. A fresh depression is advancing on to Southern Australia. Forecast: Light to moderate south-west to westerly winds, veering gradually to north-west and increasing. Weather for the most part fair, but with some scattered coastal showers* Temperatures cool, but milder to-mor-row. Seas moderate, but rising later about Foveaux Strait. UNSETTLED CONDITIONS. Changeable weather has been experienced in Dunedin during the past few days. Following a fine day cold temperatures and intermittent rains were experienced last evening and this morning. Showers fell at 10 o’clock and 10.30, and indications at noon were f6r showery conditions this afternoon. Barometric pressure at this time was rising at 29.75 in, Until 12.30 p.m. to-day . the temperatures registered were. Sldeg maximum and 46deg minimum• corresponding readings yesterday were 62deg, and 57.1 deg, whila over a 24-hour, period they were 64.6 deg anil 40deg. The rainfall last evening totalled .02in, there being n« frost. The wind this morning was 4 south-westerly.
