WHEN MR NASH GOES

PREMIER WILL TAKE FINANCE [From Qua Parliamentary Reporter,] WELLINGTON, October 1. The departure of the Minister of Finance and Marketing (Mr Nash) for England on October 13 will involve a reallocation of portfolios, and it is expected that an official announcement of the changes will be made over the weekend. ■ The most important portfolio is that of Finance, and it may be stated as certain that this will be assumed by the Prime Minister. It is also expected that the portfolio of Marketing will be taken over by the Minister of Agriculture (Mr Lee Martin). Every effort will be made by the Government to pass legislation dealing with financial matters before Mr Nash leaves. The main questions are the Finance Bill and the Supplementary Estimates.
