THE EMPIRE CONGRESS
DELEGATES REACH WELLINGTON MUCH IMPRESSED WITH SCENIC WONDERS [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, October 1. The visiting Chamber of Commerce delegates have arrived at Wellington, and will commence their deliberations on the problems of British Empire trade to-morrow. 'The main body of the delegates, who came south from Auckland, made special overland trips, one party visiting National Park and the other the Waitomo Caves. The delegates wore deeply impressed by the beauty and splendour of the scenery, and were amazed at tho wonders of Waitomo Caves.
In addition to conlerence business, tho visitors have a busy round of social engagements mapped out for them, including a reception at Government House. „ ~
The Concert Chamber, Town Hall, has been transformed for the congress, a post office, telephone booths, and other facilities having been installed.
