Secular. 4th DUNEDIN (KENSINGTON) COMPANY. The company paraded last Thursday with a fair attendance. It has been a great pleasure to the company to welcome several new recruits within the last two weeks, and our membership is steadily advancing. _ The company follows the usual routine, and is now able to do some gymnastic work. The officers would welcome any boy in the Kensington district who might like to join. Do come along and watch the company for an evening, every Thursday evening from 7 till 9.30. 6th DUNEDIN COMPANY. After three months of activity the company can now consider itself well established. The boys are taking a great pride in their new uniforms, and are doin- their best to make the company onl of which they can be proud. The company combined with the Life Boys, the Girl Guides, and Brownies for a church parade last Sunday morning at the Methodist Central Mission, 80 or 90 taking part. The enrolment of the members of the company and the n.c.o.s was a most impressive ceremony. Two very enjoyable tramps have been held, in which signalling, saveloys, and roast potatoes have combined well with the true spirit of Boys’ Brigade comradeship to make the afternoons a real success. A competition has been commenced for the Squad Challenge Medal kindly given by Cr D. C. Cameron. A cup for 'the best boy in ambulance and signalling is arousing keen competition. A captain’s medal will be given to the boy who shows the truest Boys’ Brigade spirit for the year. The company is glad to report that a number of new members have joined, and ■’■"t there is promise of several more linking up. 7th DUNEDIN COMPANY Twenty-three boys answered the roll last Friday night, when, in addition to the usual programme, some time was spent in preparation of a camp-fire item to be given at the Sunday school demonstration last night. On Saturday afternoon the annual Rugby match with 17th Dunedin took p'ace at D'o Oval, a close and exciting game resulting in a win for 7th Dunedin by 13 points to 12. Prominent among the winners were Manson and Macdonald in the hacks, and Logan in the forwards; while, for the losers, Fitzgerald and Thomson stood out. 12th DUNEDIN. At the sound of the whistle 22 boys sprang to life, ready for the evening’s routine and fun. Marching was again an interesting part of the team’s work, the hoys enjoying this very much. The evening’s programme finished up with the story of David’s Three Great Men,’ and their bringing the cup of water from the well at Bethlehem. We have collected, from time to time, a large number of stamps for our missionary work, and intend to have another stamp cleaning evening before we close this year.
