Table tennis is booming in Britain. There are now more than 2,500 clubs, with 39,000 registered players, attached to the English Table Tennis Association. Giusseppe Pieranteni still works on the same Italian farm which was first tilled by his ancestor in 1018. It has been cultivated by the family ever since.
