KAIKORAI SCHOOL COMMITTEE
At the monthly meeting of the Kaw korai School Committee Mv E. Sinclair presided over a full attendance of members. The head master’s report was of a very gratifying nature. The roll stands at 508; 27 new pupils were admitted during the term, and 13 withdrawn. The first assistant, Mr H. L. Brown, left the school at the beginning of th« term to accept a position at the Rich* raond School, Nelson. The Visiting Committee reported that everything in and around the school was in good order. The euchre evenings which had been held during the winter months have now ceased. These evenings proved to be a means of keeping in touch with parents. The committee is expecting to havo the school remodelled at an early date. Accounts amounting to £36 19s 2d were passed for payment.
