ROYAL MALE CHOIR
TO-NIGHT'S CONCERT One of the most popular of New Zealand’s soloists, Miss Mary Pratt, contralto, will make a reappearance at the concert of the Royal Dunedin Male Choir to be held in the Town Hall this evening. The programme for this concert is one that promises to enhance the reputation of the choir. Soft singing is fully exploited in the group of national songs and the negro spirituals. More robust are ‘ Roman War Song ’ and ‘ Here’s a Health to the King,’ while the hymn arranged by Dr Galwav for the choir and organ should be well received. Miss Eva Judd, violinist; who is favourably known to Dunedin audiences, will also appear. The choir soloists will be Mr John Kennedy (tenor), who will sing ‘ All Hail Thou Dwelling Pure and Holy,’ and Mr J. Pringle (baritone), whose number will be ‘ The Lute Player.’. The box plans are at Begg’s.
